Featuring an interdisciplinary dance film collaboration between artistic director, Low Mei Yoke and filmmaker, Liao Jiekai,
the film Time pass, Years past explores the concepts of time and metamorphosis through an examination of
a 1998 Frontier Danceland production of Time + Pass = Years Past.
Movement and visual motifs from the past undergo reinterpretation through transformative processes by the current generation of dance artists. As the old inspire the young with their legacy, the young turn their gaze towards a boundless sky: what kind of flame will they kindle in this new world?
About Of Moving Bodies and Images
The creative platform of Of Moving Bodies and Images seeks to explore the potentiality of performance and choreography through the medium of film. From the body to scene, it challenges a rethinking of contemporary dance through a hybrid of the visual languages of both dance and film.
There will be a physical screening of the film, followed by a sharing session with members of the artistic team.
Admission is free with registration.
