The Company
About Us
Founded in 1991 by Low Mei Yoke and Tan Chong Poh, Frontier Danceland is a contemporary dance repertory company in Singapore that became full-fledged in 2011.
About the Company
We have worked with both local and international dance-makers from various backgrounds, including Noa Zuk, Ohad Fishof and Shahar Biniamini from Israel, Stephanie Lake, Gabrielle Nankivell and Luke Smiles from Australia, Sita Ostheimer from Germany, Olé Khamchanla from France/Laos, Liu Yen-Cheng from Taiwan, and Matej Kejzar from Belgium/Slovenia.
Throughout the years, Frontier Danceland has presented works that explore the human condition through movement — challenging audiences and artists alike to reflect, question and connect.
Artistic Leadership
Artistic Director — Low Mei Yoke
Co-founder Low Mei Yoke has steered the company's artistic vision since its inception, nurturing a repertoire that spans intimate chamber works to large-scale productions.
Company Artists
Our full-time company artists train daily and perform in original works created by resident and guest choreographers. They also lead education and outreach programmes across Singapore.
Guest Choreographers
Frontier Danceland regularly invites international choreographers to create new works on the company, bringing fresh perspectives and techniques to the Singapore dance scene.
