Body Studies: Movement Lab (4-week course)
Trainer: Bernice Lee
This improvisation course uses somatic practices like yoga and pilates, and improvisation games to prepare dancers to enter into a state of endless possibility. We warm up into dancing by layering anatomical detail with environmental awareness. We become sensitive to the consciousness and memories of our bodies, and connect with each other through the invisible forces of the earth. Participants will leave with heightened awareness of individual habits and impulses, be energised and rested from attuning to their bodies, and feel what it means to listen deeply.
When: Wednesdays, 7.00pm - 8.15pm
- Registration Open. Class will commence on 30 May 2012
