KEIGO NOZAKI was born in Japan and started dancing at the local studio in his hometown of Kakogawa under Kae Izumi. At the age of 16, he moved to Winnipeg, Canada to receive professional education at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. As a student, he was involved in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s production of Swan Lake. He also had the pleasure of attending summer intensive program by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago in USA, Forsythe Improvisation Technology workshop in Germany, and Countertechnique workshop in Netherlands. He studied kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg.
Upon graduation, Keigo began his professional career with Nordharzer Städtebund theater in Halberstadt, Germany, and continued his dancing career with Noism 2 in Niigata, Japan, Ballet BC in Vancouver, Canada, and Theater Plauen-Zwickau, in Germany.
He has worked with choreographers such as Annett Göhre, Emily Molnar, Fernando Hernando Magadan, Jo Kanamori, Torsten Händler, Yuki Yamada, among others.
Keigo joined Frontier Danceland as a full-time artist in August 2017. He is currently Frontier Danceland’s rehearsal coordinator.
