Faye was born in Singapore and has trained at the Singapore Ballet Academy, School of The Arts Singapore (SOTA) and the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (UK), where she received the Charlotte Kirkpatrick Memorial Award. Prior to joining Frontier Danceland Faye toured the UK and Europe with VERVE, the postgraduate company of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (UK), performing works by Anton Lachky, Athina Vahla and Efrosini Protopapa. She has also worked with UK choreographers Theo Clinkard, Christopher Bruce and Robert Cohan CBE.
Her choreographic works have been performed in various venues throughout the UK, and in 2018 Faye was commissioned by SOTA to make a work for Becoming, their-end-of-year showcase, and Frontier Danceland for a co-creation with UK choreographer Richard Chappell for SIDES, the mid-year triple bill.
Faye is grateful to her parents for exposing her to a wide range of activities as a child, as her curiosity has led her to embrace and incorporate external influences into her practice. She is also a photographer and filmmaker, and has a Foundation Diploma in Digital Marketing. She is currently also the company's Pulse Programme Coordinator.
